Dave's Test Post for OkaZHI

This is a test post for the OkaZHI website.  It was originally posted on Dave's Blogger platform and has been set up to transfer over to the OkaZHI site.  The function that supports this requires regular check ins and a one minute task of updating to check in with the Blogger website and update new blog posts.

At this point this is the best option that fits within the Wordpress platform though Dave will continue to explore whether other options exist that would automatically update.

To try this process with the UBC-O nurses we need the following:

  • Login information of the UBC-O Blogger website
  • Gmail login of the person who manages the blogger website
With this information Dave can enter the necessary approvals on the OkaZHI website so that we can move their blogs over.  After this approval we will be able to regularly check in and update the OkaZHI site.  For example, this could be done on a weekly basis so that new blogs are posted on the OkaZHI website within a week of posting.

One of the main challenges of transferring blog posts over is that the Blogger format does not have  a selected "Feature Image".  On the OkaZHI website, the Feature Image chosen (an option available for every blog post) appears on the blog page above the title and at the top of the blog itself.

One option would be for Bill or Carol to add a Feature Image from any blog post that has images in it, though we don't necessarily need an image for each post (Note that the CCGHR blog doesn't have images).
